Greetings Earthlings! 

I am a teacher of English from Argentina. I am currently on my last year at the Teacher Trainning College. It's been a memorable journey so far. I have met a lot of interesting people and I have come across some fascinating facts and information about the English Language which really deserve to be shared with any person from the curious kind. So if you are curious like me, I am sure you will enjoy the information that will be shared on this Blog. 
As for now, I'll leave you with this short video about strage facts aobut the English Language.
 I personally don't agree on the explanation of "crutch words." I think they do add value and meaning to a phrase. What do YOU think? Let me know in the comments!

    Welcome Joaquín!! Excellent way to introduce yourself!! Also, very interesting and amusing video...
    About crutch words, fillers, I believe they do not add much, except for a few cases in which we give them a specific intonation or accompany them with certain body language.

Science in the language field!

Hello everyone! As I commented in my last post, I've been quite busy lately, and things have not changed. But somehow I always have some spare time that I like to spend watching videos on YouTube or reading about interesting things. And what I find most interesting (at least now, since my likes tend to change from time to time) is SCIENCE! Yes, I love science. The understanding of the world that surrounds us by observing and experimenting with it is something astonishing for me. And the results to which you can get by just doing this two things BLOW ME AWAY! I've always been more interested in the fields of physics and astrophysics, but when I entered the teacher training college I was presented with a term which really blew my mind and of which I have never heard before: LINGUISTICS, which is the field that studies Language. On the matter of studying

Hello there. It's been a while now. I've been very busy lately, with basically two jobs, a studying carreer and carreer and four bands to rehearse, record, and play with. And in between all this, many Term Tests at the teacher trainning college did not make things easier. But I somehow managed to survive, and even though I still haven't got the results of any of my exams yet, I feel pretty confident that I did my best. And this is the topic I want to adress today. We've all been there. No matter what you are studying, there is always an evaluation point, and it usually takes the form of a formal examination. And in order to pass this, you need to know what you are going to talk/write about, and it demands preparation.
